Mentors make a difference
Today I had the opportunity to catch up with my longtime friend and mentor Cliff Zapp over a game of golf (which he easily won). Cliff has always had a passion for coaching whether it be sports teams or young professionals trying to navigate life and career. Cliff is one of those rare people you get to meet in life who challenges, encourages, coaches, and grows the people around him in a positive and constructive way.
It struck me today <as Cliff was hitting out of the fairway and I was searching for my ball> just how significant an impact Cliff and several other mentors have had in my life.
With that, I’d like to encourage you to establish at least one mentoring relationship – whether formal or informal – to grow yourself, to get honest feedback, and to help you navigate your career and life.
